I have to say I’m not that much of a fan of the world cup; to be honest I’m not that into football. However, this design by David Watson of design studio Trebleseven, this typographic World Cup poster shows all the timetables games in the World Cup in a really graphic way.
The poster was created to support Soccer Aid. The idea was simply an A1 double sided poster, the front (below) lists all the groups, A-H so you can clearly see which countries are in which group. There is also a calendar that runs down the right hand side listing chronologically all the matches to be played in the tournament:
The reverse of the poster (below) functions as a World Cup calendar, showing which games are being played on each day:
As previously stated I’m not a fan of the World Cup, but this typographic poster has been so beautifully produced and is so clear that anyone could follow it.
